Basketball sport profile

Basketball scoreboard software for LED, TV and sports halls

The ArenaCue basketball profile follows indoor rules: four 10-minute countdown quarters, 24 and 14 shot-clock presets, 1/2/3 scoring buttons, team fouls and timeouts — on the LED, TV or projector in the hall.

Basketball is countdown, shot clock and bonus fouls

A football clock on a basketball screen is the wrong instrument. ArenaCue switches on the BASKETBALL profile: countdown per quarter, tenths under the last minute, shot-clock presets 24 and 14, team fouls with bonus from four, and timeouts in the FIBA split stored in the profile.

Scoring is 1, 2 or 3 points. Four 10-minute quarters, main break after quarter 2, short breaks between the others, 5-minute overtime (repeatable). Timeouts: two in the first half, three in the second, one per overtime. Substitutions live in the same panel; cards belong to football, not here.

Typical output is a hall LED, a TV wall or a projector. Club Scoreboard is €99 per month excl. VAT on Windows 10/11. No separate basketball tariff, no new hardware console.

01

Quarters and countdown with tenths

The match clock counts down. Under the last minute the profile shows tenths, as FIBA boards do. Overtime is 5 minutes countdown and can repeat. That is a different desk from football count-up or volleyball with no clock.

  • Four 10-minute countdown quarters
  • Main break after quarter 2, short breaks between the others
  • Overtime 5 minutes, repeatable
  • Tenths visible under the last minute
02

Shot clock 24 and 14

The basketball profile includes 24- and 14-second shot-clock presets. The operator resets from the control desk; the shot clock belongs to the same Windows desk as the game clock, not a separate box you cannot report on.

03

1, 2, 3 points, team fouls and timeouts

Scoring buttons for free throw, field goal and three. Team fouls count per quarter; bonus from four. Timeouts: 2 + 3 in regulation halves, 1 in each overtime, sixty seconds. All in one control panel for one operator.

04

Hall workflow and sponsors between quarters

The PC sits at the scorer’s table. HDMI or DisplayPort fills LED, TV or projector. Schedule sponsors around pre-match, quarter breaks, half-time and after the game; during live minutes score and shot clock lead. Proof-of-play remains the commercial evidence.

Basketball scoreboard software FAQ

Which basketball features does ArenaCue include?

Will this work on a gym TV?
Yes. Connect the TV as an extended display over HDMI or an adapter. Test that shot clock and score are readable from the stands before tip-off.
Is the shot clock a separate device?
Not in ArenaCue: 24- and 14-second resets live in the basketball profile of the same Windows app. You drive the hall screen, not a second vendor console.
